Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival

Early Cherry Blossom.
Kawazu is located on the Izu peninsula and celebrates the flowering of the Kawazuzakura (Kawazu Cherry Trees), which bloom earlier than the the common trees.
The cherry trees are mainly around the river flowing into the sea. Next to the them a variety of food booths can be found.
To me it is very impressive how much Japanese appreciate and enjoy their different seasons. I’m definitely learning a lesson or two about appreciation and attention to detail here in Japan.
